Here at NetPIM we take your privacy seriously. We made this service at first for our own needs,
it has since then evolved and we believe it can be useful to others.
Our goal is not to know things about you, to spam you, or to take over the world. Being technical people we had the chance to be able to make this for
ourselves and we just thogh others could be granted the same benefits.
What This Privacy Policy Covers
- This policy covers how NetPIM treats personal information that NetPIM collects and receives, including information related to your past use of NetPIM Information products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, e-mail address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.
- This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that NetPIM does not own or control, or to people that NetPIM does not employ or manage.
Information Collection and Use
General
- When you register we collect as little information as possible about you. Namely we require:
- A login/password (which can be anything unrelated to your private name)
- Your email, so that we may contact you about important matters and send you the event notifications you set up
- Your timezone so that the calendar displays correctly and events reminders fire at the right time for you
- NetPIM automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information, and the page you request.
Cookies
- NetPIM does set and read NetPIM cookies from your computer.
- NetPIM recomends that you do not activate the "remember me" checkbox when you sign in from a shared computer.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
NetPIM will never read, use or sell data you store in our servers except in the following cases:
- To ensure that the service we provide works as well as possible. As such we may have to read some of your data to upgrade our storage mechanisms or do maintenance on the databases.
- In order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law.
- If NetPIM is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, we will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- You allow us to do so
Changes to this Privacy Policy
NetPIM may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the e-mail address specified in your membership account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
